Dr. Hadi Valizadeh Joins the COST Action ON-DEM Project

Dr. Hadi Valizadeh from the Faculty of Engineering at Özyeğin University joined the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) Action CA22132 – Open Network on DEM Simulations (ON-DEM) in June 2025.

This project aims to unify and advance the diverse Discrete Element Method (DEM) communities by promoting best practices, developing shared tools, supporting open-source initiatives, and addressing key challenges in industrial, scientific, and engineering applications. Dr. Valizadeh is actively involved in Working Groups 2 and 3, which focus on enhancing the physical realism of simulations and improving data processing and visualization, respectively.

Since 1971, COST has been funded under various EU Research and Innovation Framework Programmes, including Horizon Europe.
